The LMV Group has carried out the detailed design and construction of the upper and lower diverters and radial clamps for the Stadium of Volgograd in Russia, one of the stadiums that will host the matches of the football World Cup 2018!
The delivery of deviators and clamps from the Italian LMV plant has already started in October.
Diverters and clamp are used to connect and keep in tension the wire ropes of roof support (with diameters from 70 to 110 mm) with the remaining metal structure of the stadium.
They are made of steel suitable for operation at low temperatures, with additional specifications to meet the requirements of Russian standards.
After the construction of the carpentry, the components are machined to achieve the conical cavities in which the wire ropes will stay and clamp.
The protective treatment is made through pure zinc metallization, electric arc sprayed on surfaces of cables accommodation and three cycle hands on the upper surface of the artifacts.
