The Ponte Nuovo over the Pescara River is one of the city’s major infrastructure projects, built to improve urban mobility.

Designed to transform the city’s road network and ease traffic towards the western area, the bridge provides a strategic connection between the centre of Pescara and the Porta Nuova district, promoting smoother and safer traffic flow.

Structural Steelwork for a New Urban Bridge

For the construction of Ponte Nuovo, LMV managed the entire structural steelwork process, from the preparation of shop drawings and design optimisation through to the fabrication of the steel structures and technical support during the installation phases.

The project involved the fabrication and supply of approximately 1,250 tonnes of structural steelwork, engineered to ensure high structural performance, durability and execution precision. Every component was developed to guarantee perfect on-site assembly and full compliance with the project specifications.

In addition to the fabrication of the steel structures, LMV played a key role in the supervision of the erection works, coordinating the technical activities required to ensure the correct installation of the structural steelwork and the achievement of the high quality standards required for the project.
